Is it possible to get high on cannabis?

It’s a hot-button issue even for people who smoke weed. As with opiates and stimulants, some people think cannabis is dangerous, while others say it’s completely safe and doesn’t have any adverse side effects.

Marijuana does not have the same risk of overdosing as opioids do. Since the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention doesn’t say how many people have died because of cannabis, this is what they say: (CDC).

However, this does not mean that people can overdose on cannabis and have unpleasant side effects.

What is the upper limit of what is considered too much?

Because everyone is different, there is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question. Some people have a hard time with it, but others seem to be able to handle it well. As with quality, the potency of cannabis products can be very different. This means there’s a greater chance of having a bad reaction to food than non-food items. Why does this happen? They take a long time to work, so this is why.

It can take anywhere from 20 minutes to two hours after you eat an edible to start feeling the effects of the drug. During this time, many people end up overeating because they think the food isn’t going to help them.

Some people’s bodies don’t like the combination of cannabis and alcohol.

Some people may have a bad reaction to cannabis products that have a lot of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the chemical that makes you feel “high” or slowed down.

What does it look like when you have a bad reaction to something?

Cannabis has a long list of things that aren’t good for you, including but not limited to:

  • Tiredness or lethargy makes you have a headache.

These side effects can be felt from 20 minutes to a whole day, but they don’t last very long. The more THC there is in cannabis, the more intense and long-lasting the effects are likely to be. Is it possible to have a “weed hangover” the next day after smoking or taking drugs?

Among the things you can do if you or a friend have overindulged are these:

Make a promise that everything will be fine when you’re stressed out. None of us have ever died from a cannabis overdose. Remember this.

Make sure you eat something light when you’re dizzy or sick. If they have a dry mouth, this may be the last thing they want to do. For others, it makes all the difference.

 

Take a small sip of water.

If you have a dry mouth, it’s a good idea to drink many glasses of water. It’s essential if you’ve vomited, which can cause your body to lose a lot of water.
